Time for action

Monday, 1 December 2008

Today is Worlds Aids Day, a time for reflection, reaction and ribbons. Red ribbons. With over 33 million people living with HIV across the world there has never been a more urgent need for your attention. However you can make a contribution, however you add to the noise being made today, make sure you do. Be it via donations, campaigning or awareness today is a day for action.

Action for those living with HIV, action for the millions denied drug treatment across the globe, action for those still facing stigma in the society’s they live in and action for those supporting the diagnosed. Buddie schemes, fundraising and awareness campaigns are just some of the ways you can contribute. With events taking place across the UK today and the opportunities to donate many and varied, there has never been a better time to take action.

Together we can beat this global epidemic. Together we can make a difference. Locally, nationally and internationally. You are the agent of change.
