business newsPopstarz move up WestWednesday, 16 January 2008 On Friday the 8th February Popstarz makes its monumental move to the West End. After 13 years glorious years of clubbing Popstarz are on the move. Dragging their faithful crowd of indie kids and scene hipsters out to various clubs on the edge of Zone 1 is no more as Popstarz take up their new residency at club Sin on Charing Cross Road. With a new Sin management team brandishing a broom that’s set to make the club an exciting new Soho venue with its policy of only putting on alternative and leftfield club nights Popstarz were tailor made for Friday nights. Add decadent décor, Sin’s many rooms, its fantastic location and the opportunity to make Popstarz a much more enjoyable experience for the masses this was an opportunity too good to miss. Relocating and re-launching Popstarz now boasts new DJ’s in every room, new production and an entirely new room. The Indie Ballroom sees Popstarz main room move to the gothic style ballroom, complete with chandeliers, spiral staircase, stage area and of course the best in current indie, cool rock, and alternative anthems. The Pop Lounge becomes Popstarz biggest Pop floor yet featuring Pure Trash Pop from the Eighties to the present day whilst The Rave Room is set to become one of the coolest places to hangout in Soho on a Friday night. Mirror clad dance area and all it has something of a Eighties New York club vibe about it, with it’s low lighting, glass walls and music policy of electro, twisted disko, new rave from DJ’s including For3ign, Anti-Social and The Cock & Frat Party. Popstarz. The future’s Sin filled, the future’s glorious.
