DTPM closes

Friday, 2 November 2007

After much speculation and rumour DTPM has confirmed the end of the party.

After almost 15 years of decent clubbing DTPM will host one final party on the 2nd December 2007. The weekly parties are no more but the debauchery will be fondly remembered as nights of wonder on the dance floors of Fabric, The End, Bar Rumba and Villa Stefano remain etched on our clubbing minds.

DTPM’s Lee Freeman commented, “Many DJs, punters and celebs have passed through our doors - 1 million of them - and we’ve shown them what real debauchery is. We’re proud of our heritage and our contribution to the club scene and have enjoyed almost every minute of it, but now it’s time to move forward and evolve once more.”

“We won’t be gone forever” he continued “we’ll be back, bigger and brighter than ever for some very special one-off events! But in the meantime, thank you to everyone for their support, hard work and some of the most enjoyable years of my life. From the DJs, VJs, percussionists and performers; to our street PR teams, press peeps & webbies, our managers and staff, but most of all, YOU – the most discerning customers on the dance floor! Special thanks must go to Bart, for without that man DTPM may never have been a reality and most certainly would not have had one of the strongest, well executed images in club land ever! Special thanks to Laurence and Trade - the club that paved the way for DTPM to exist.” And as for the final party? “Don’t forget to book off Monday 3rd December for your recovery after what will surely be one of the best DTPM's ever! A night that will go down in clubbing history!”

So the party is over for now but with funds to raise for GMFA on the 2nd December DTPM are as focused as ever. It maybe the end DTPM as we know it – but while the party is still there to be had Freeman & Co will continue to deliver. Welcome to a new era!
